Indian singer Angarag Mahanta, popularly known as Papon was caught kissing Manashi live on Facebook. A Supreme Court lawyer Runa Bhuyan took notice of the incident. She filed a complaint against Papon with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights under the POCSO act.

Papon, on the other hand said while protecting himself that he is an extremely affectionate person. Furthermore, he added that the kiss was not intentional and it happened in a moment of affection.

Finally a couple of days after the incident and the filing of complaint against him, Papon stepped down as a judge. Moreover, he said that he is not in a mental condition to continue.
