Sanjiv Bhatt (born July 11, 1964) is an Indian Former Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer from Gujarat, India. He has come to limelight after filing an affidavit against Narendra Damodardas Modi (then Gujarat’s Chief Minister). Furthermore, he has also accused Narendra Modi (India’s PM) of conducting a meeting of police officers at CM’s residence on 27 February 2002.
The main agenda of this meeting is to tell police officers not to come in the way “Hindus” to vent out their anger against “Muslim” for Godhra train burning incident. In 2015, the 54-years-old IPS officer was suspended from Indian Police Service due to unauthorized absence.
On 5 September 2018, Sanjiv was arrested by Gujarat CID for allegedly planting drugs to arrest a person in 1998 case.
