Tapas Paul (born 29 September 1958) was a famous Indian actor and producer from Chandannagar, West Bengal. He was one of the top actors in the Bengali film industry. Paul had made more than 70 Bengali movies.
He debuts in the acting filed with his first film named “Dadar Kirti” in the year 1980. But he got fame with his movie “Guru Dakshina” in 1987. Tapas was also honored with Kalakar Awards and Bharat Nirman Awards for his talent.
Renowned artist Tapas Pal died in a hospital near Juhu at 4 in the morning of 18 February 2020. During an interrogation of his family, it was found that he had come to Mumbai to visit his daughter.
He was on his way back to Kolkata on the night of 17 February, when he suddenly suffered a rapid pain in his heart and fell at the airport. His family took him to the hospital and during treatment, Paul died at 4 am the next day. He was 61 when he died. The death cause of Tapas Paul was a cardiac attack.

Acting Career, Movies & Net worth
Paul started his acting career in the year 1980. He got a chance to work in his first Bengali film named “Dadar Kirti”. After giving his best performance in his first movie, he became the first choice of every director.
After that, the famous director “Tarun Majumdar” cast him in his film named “Bhalobasa Bhalobasa” in 1985. It was his second film. In 2020, Tapas Paul earned the Net worth of Rs 15 crore Indian Rupees.
